Applying for: Quality Technician - 1st shift

Wadsworth-based Marine Equipment manufacturer is looking for an experienced QUALITY TECHNICIAN to join their team on 1st shift.

SHIFT: 1st 6a-2:30p Optional early Fridays 4a-12p

PAY: $15.50/hr.

JOB SUMMARY: Primary role of a Quality Technician is to inspect and/or test product for defects and compliance to requirements.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Interpret technical documents such as drawings and work instructions.

· Communicate with Quality Engineers regarding the status of inspection/testing results.

· Identify continuous improvement opportunities.

· Test and/or Inspect manufactured components for the relevant product line.

· Assist in lean initiatives within the quality department.

MINOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Communicate with other departments as to non-conformances, reports, and documentation.

· Process products with quality failures.

· Conduct bi-annual inventory.

· Working in an environment where various solvents, adhesives, RF Welding equipment and industrial manufacturing machines are used.

· Good communication skills to understand quality objectives, as well as to work with production operators to resolve problems.

· Ensure work areas are 100% free of FOD as required.

· Responsible for awareness and compliance as applicable to the requirements of ISO9001 and customer standards and test requirements.

· Notify Quality Engineer immediately of possible risk to meeting testing / inspecting requirements.

· Ability to read drawings and use measurement tools.

· Document test data into computer systems as required.
