North Canton Direct Care Provider is looking for multiple home health aides to provide direct care to MRDD clients.Shift: 2 or 3pm-9pm Monday-Friday OR
9pm-9am Monday-Friday OR
9am-9pm Saturday and Sunday OR
3pm-9am Saturday and Sunday
PAY: $15/hr. Plus Overtime over 40 hours per week
As a Home Health Aide, you'll play a vital role in providing essential care and support to individuals who need assistance with daily activities in the comfort of their own homes. Your primary responsibility is to help clients maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. Here's what the role entails:
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide mobility assistance, including transferring clients from bed to wheelchair and vice versa, as needed.
- Support clients with activities of daily living, such as meal preparation, feeding, and medication reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, tidying up living spaces, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a trusting and respectful relationship.
- Observe and report any changes in clients' health or behavior to the appropriate medical professionals or family members.
- Follow care plans developed by healthcare professionals and adapt care routines to meet the evolving needs of clients.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid driver's license and insurance as you may have to transport clients to appointments on occasion.
- Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check and take an 11-panel drug screen
