One of our Clients in Akron is looking for the following $18 per hour (based on experience)Mon-Fri: 1st shift 7am-3:30pm OR 2nd shift 4pm-12:30am
CNC Programmer/Operator:
- Read part drawings
- Be able to determine the most efficient way to program & set up a part
- Have a basic knowledge of the machine language or software system being used to create a NC program.
- Have a basic understanding of the control and machine they are running or programming for
- Know how to read and create a set up sheet and set the tolling for the part
- Know how to transfer programs from storage/transport mediate in to the machine
- Fill out inspection reports
- Have a a basic understanding of the language the control uses to program and be able to read a program and understand what the machine is going to do
- Make determinations of cutting conditions and use the manual feed overrides to optimize them
- Have the ability to communicate and get along with other employees, supervisors and upper management
- Have the understanding of basic math, geometry and trigonometry
- Know which measuring tool to use and how to properly use it
- Know how to fill out an inspection report
- Any other function deemed as necessary by management
