Compounding Natural and Synthetic Liquid Rubber plus periphery tasks related to product production. Receives and unloads freight both manually or with equipment such as forl<lifts and pallet jacks; checks for damaged goods; verifies quantity and quality of order; verifies items received with purchase order; wraps, packages, and ships finished products

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Process latex compound and dispersions by following a written recipe Weigh specific types and quantities of liquid or solid raw ingredients using an automated dispensing system or manual scales, according to formulas Monitor mixing tanks, mills, mixers, pumps and compounding kettles

  • Move completed batches into containers via pump or gravity drop

  • Assist with raw material handling

  • Collect samples on processed latex compounds and/or dispersions for lab analysis

  • Clean equipment

  • Process waste water

  • Loading/Unloading Trucks

  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.

  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or record-keeping purposes. Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools or power tools


PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE


Experience working with chemicals and dispensary equipment

Background in manufacturing or warehouse work, a plus  Experience using a forklift

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS



  • Background and Drug Screen

  • High school diploma/G.E. D


POSITION SUMMARY

Will be responsible to process samples, perform tests, and record results for quality control on customer compounds. No prior training is required, but previous experience will make a candidate more desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Assist in the evaluation of prepared compounds for compliance of required specifications and preparation of certificate of analysis

  • Demonstrate ability to follow standard operating procedure and perform all liquid physical tests for quality assurance checks including: o Total condensed solids o pH o Swollen Diameter o Mechanical Stability o Precure (Chloroform) o Brookfield Viscosity o Zahn o Ammonia

  • Demonstrate ability to perform routine test equipment calibration and develop working knowledge of said equipment e Demonstrate ability to follow standard operating procedures and perform all film physical tests for quality assurance checks including: o Tensile (Current/Aged) o V-tear o Permanent Set o Durometer

  • Ability to use appropriate computer-based technology

  • Communicate written/verbal information and data to co-workers
